Vacation seasons in Turkey are divided by type of activity:

winter is the best time for skiing tours;
summer is the height of beach holidays;

The beginning of the holiday season in Turkey depends on the preferences of travelers. The beach  entertainment on the coast in late April-May and lasts until mid-October. In the summer there is a peak in tourist activity, and January and February are considered the low season, when most of the territory has windy and damp weather.

In summer, the country has a maximum of cloudless days and a minimum of rainfall (up to 2 days per month). At the beginning of the season, the air temperature warms up to + 25-28 ° С, and the Mediterranean Sea becomes the warmest, where at the beginning of June the water reaches 21-23 ° С.

The local climate is hot in July and August, when the air warms up to + 35-40 ° С. But the humidity, wind and landscape give originality to the weather at each resort. For example, Antalya, Belek and Kemer are characterized by a high moisture content in the air, so it will be hot in the heat of the Mediterranean coast. The Aegean Sea at the height of summer is much more pleasant for vacationers – in the resorts of Marmaris, Bodrum and Kusadasi, the air is drier and the temperature is lower.

You can relax with children on the Princes’ Islands in the Sea of ​​Marmara, here locals often relax and there are no crowds of tourists. But there are cozy green promenades, pebble and sand beaches, colorful markets and cozy cafes.

The best time for a vacation with the whole family in the summer is June. In Kemer, it is not so hot, the sea is warm, and in the center there is a carnival with fairs, auto shows and concerts.

In July, the Mediterranean sea resorts delight tourists with warm water, but only the most persistent can withstand the scorching sun in Antalya in the middle of summer. In the neighboring resort town of Side, heat is easier to tolerate at a similar temperature and low humidity. Alanya or the Turkish Riviera on the Mediterranean coast is a comfortable place for a beach holiday in June-July. But the real paradise for vacationers of any age in July will be the resorts of the Aegean coast (Bodrum, Fethiye, Kusadasi).

August is the peak of the beach season in Turkey, when the cost of tours increases by 20-30%, and the temperature of air and water does not lag behind the July temperature. During this hot period, it is more pleasant to relax on the beaches of the Aegean Sea.

A summer beach holiday in Turkey is easily combined with sightseeing and tasting Turkish dishes and drinks, shopping and healing spa treatments.

Autumn holiday in Turkey
The golden season gives tourists a long velvet season for swimming and beach relaxation. And pleasant weather for visiting excursion routes, shopping and outdoor activities. Holidays in Turkey in the autumn take place in sunny weather and +25 ° C, and sea water in popular resorts until mid-October does not fall below +20 ° C.

The Anatolian coast becomes the center of autumn tourism. On the beaches of Antalya, Side, Alanya and Belek, there is still little rainfall, and you can swim in the Mediterranean until November. In Kemer and Belek, where the needles and mountains in the middle of summer bring high humidity, it becomes drier with the advent of autumn. This is the ideal time of the year to relax with children or a tour for people who are contraindicated in heat. And it is better to go to Bodrum or Marmaris in the first half of October.

By the fall, the excitement in the resorts ends, noisy parties cease, and the demand for recreation and excursions rises.
