Camping in Europe

Traveling in Western Europe is usually an expensive pleasure. It doesn’t matter if you live in a European country and want to explore neighboring countries, or if you came from the other side of the world and want to taste the wonders that Europe can offer you, your expenses can exceed all expectations!

Do not deny yourself the pleasure of tasting wine from Tuscany, visiting the Jungfrau mountain peak in Switzerland, treat yourself to Saint-Tropez or have fun at Euro Disney. How to get the most out of vacation without harming the budget?

The biggest expense during the holidays is the payment of housing. You can significantly reduce costs by staying on vacation in campsites scattered throughout Europe (known as tourist camps).

Such holiday camps are often small villages with 2 and 3 bedroom houses, fully equipped beds, bathrooms and kitchens. Some of them even have terraces, so you can relax in the fresh air. At the campsites, various parking lots and bases are at your disposal, depending on whether you came with a trailer, trailer or tent.

Near many campsites are small markets and eateries, as well as kiosks and even restaurants. The services and activities offered vary depending on where the campsite is located, but as a rule, there are always swimming pools, tennis courts, games and football grounds and games rooms at your disposal.

You will be amazed at how inexpensive this type of vacation is. As a rough guide: here you will have to pay 50 euros per day, compared with a minimum of 150 euros per night for a four-bed room in a two or three star hotel. Such savings over a long stay at the campsite will give you the opportunity to spend money on what is really worth spending in Europe.

Below are six campsites that you might want to visit.

1. Norcenni Girasole Club, Figline Valdarno (near Florence)

Feel the taste of Tuscany while relaxing in this amazing tourist camp. Not far from Florence, you can go to the city to explore wonderful sights, and then return back to the camp to enjoy four pools, water slides, a gym and a massage room. You can admire the magnificent views around you while traveling through the Tuscan hills on foot or by bicycle.

2. Marinadi Venezia, Punta Sabbioni (near Venice)

Staying in Venice is expensive, so consider living next door to Punta Sabbioni. This is a very large tourist camp, there are six pools, water slides, restaurants, bars, a kids club, and most importantly, a stunning beach on the Adriatic Sea. From here you can catch a tram to Venice and enjoy this beautiful city.

3. Manor Farm, Interlaken (Switzerland)

This campsite is located on the amazing Lake Thun at the foot of the stunning Swiss Alps. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes, you can walk, ride a bike, go to the mountains or go skiing. You can also enjoy water sports and a pool.

4. Le Belledonne, Bourg d’Oisans (Bourg d’Oisans) (French Alps)

If you want to see beautiful landscapes, then this place is for you. Le Belledonne Tourist Camp is located right between glaciers, lakes and waterfalls. There is a bar and restaurant, as well as a pool and volleyball court.

5. La Baume, Frejus (French Riviera)

The French Riviera is not much better. Seven pools and close proximity to some of the hottest resorts in the Mediterranean make this camp a favorite. The campsite has a restaurant, a home-cooking shop, bars, tennis courts, a children’s playground and a gym.

6. Domaine do Massereau, Sommieres (Sommieres)

You can very well stay at this winery camp in the Languedoc region of France. Enjoy walks through the vineyards and the castle, and then buy wines and relax among the large oak trees. It features a swimming pool and a restaurant; the place is ideal for a relaxing holiday in a French village.
